Breakout EDU Fridays

Students are getting so much better at working together, showing 'grit' and determination to work through puzzles and challenges to break into our Breakout EDU box.

We have experimented with giving a little more time (60min vs 45min) and working in smaller groups each with their own clue set and take timed turns unlocking the box.

After each session we debrief, this is the most important part of the Breakout EDU Games. We reflect on risks and challenges we experienced, how puzzles in the game link to the real world (sometimes things take a different approach, you may need to try different things, takes more than one go to get something right), and give shout outs to those who thought creatively or exemplified communication.

The past two weeks we have had teams successfully break into the box, seeing the joy on their faces is awesome. Seeing the team work and perseverance displayed is even better! Students are learning to navigate difficult situations while working together to share and respect the ideas of all in the team. Their time management skills are also improving. I am so proud of the hard work you are all displaying and know these are skills that will set you up for so much success in your life! Well done Super 7s!
